DH got a Nano Bug for Christmas. Molly is sure it is a dog toy.
The girls will do anything for MARSHMALLOWS!
A blog of the training and experiences of Molly the Border Collie,Shawnee the Border Collie, and Rebecca, their handler. Molly is a working service dog and Shawnee, her new little sister, is just starting training. The girls are called "bookends" by their fans.
There is not much other than snow going on these days. But one evening last week, we got the girls out into the pony pasture for a round of frisbee while the ponies were in the shed eating.
Those three were from one catch. Pretty typical of casts when both girls get to run. Shawnee gets there first, but Molly does the retrieve!
We had to dig the pony fence free from the snow before the drifts settled and destroyed the fence completely. The girls were quite a help--more than we expected. Molly was much more productive and focussed than Shawnee, but both helped.
Note: Pics are taken with the cell phone. With all four of us digging, it wasn't reasonable to have the camera with.
Please forgive the insane lack of updates lately. Bex has been down with a concussion since before Christmas and still isn't right.
Description limited because of writer's health. Suffice it to say, we have too much snow. No picture of it, but Molly has been helping water the ponies. I put on her seat belt harness because it is comfortable for pulling and tie her to one of the smaller water jugs. She drags it out to the ponies' trough so I only have to pour it in. She sometimes needs help getting it moving again after a pause, but she is VERY good and loves the job. Shawnee helped once, but has an injury on some of her pads, so is off duty right now.
